Blizzard is arguably one of the most unique developers in the gaming industry. Why? Despite such a high popularity and their status as a developer with track records that are always anticipated by gamers, Blizzard actually does have a lot of "weapons". They managed to achieve the success only through three main franchise – Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo, which began to develop into a variety of genres, from RTS, MMO, and addictive card game. Blizzard itself was rumored to be releasing a game themed MMO sci-fi recently named – Titan, but was eventually cancelled because the quality is considered inadequate. Rumors of a new project of another heats up along with the Blizzcon goes by 2014. Meet the expectations of gamers, Blizzard finally unveils new gaming project – the Overwatch.
Seems to not want to miss with the trends in the gaming industry, Overwatch is positioned as a competitive FPS games that will focus on the design of unique character, class, and their specific abilities. Divided into two teams, each consisting of 5 persons, each character will be present with its own strengths and weaknesses, outside its cool design. You can play a role as a gorilla with armor, cyber angels, the Japanese fighter with an arrow, to the cool Gothic grappling hook with a sniper who had high mobility, the ability to provide its own contribution in the battle. Blizzard has introduced about 12 characters against the backdrop of their respective stories.
Blizzard itself still silent about the distribution model that will be carried by this Overwatch, whether to carry a paid or free to play. They also haven't set the platform release for the ambitious project for this one games. But for you who are interested to enjoy it, a registration for the beta have been opened and the production will begin next year 2015. Looks awesome!
