Platformer genre that offers a unique experience indeed not many in number, let alone that was released exclusively for the PC. Even so, it seems a list of current increases one title after Ubisoft announced the Grow Home, a physics-based platformer game that might give a different flavor.
The game is developed by the developer Driver: San Francisco, Ubisoft Reflection. Referred to as a unique and experimental game, players will control a robot named BUD (Botanical Utility Droid) whose job it is to grow a giant nut trees with the goal of harvesting the seeds and help provide oxygen to his hometown.
Interestingly, the hand of BUD can be controlled separately. "It can deliver a unique experience of how you interact with the world, especially when climbing which can be risky," said Pete Young as the producer.
In the description also explained that gamers will reshape the planet and create incredible landscape for them to climb even higher. Unique control system when climbing challenge gamers to continue to achieve higher again, but once one step, would fall very far down.
Grow Home is not just climb a tree nut. Gamers can explore the world in a game, finding new locations, and dealing with strange plants and animals. Your movement will be assisted by various 'tools', such as parachute from flowers, leaves that serves as a trampoline, and so on.
In this announcement, Ubisoft is simply referred to the PC as the target platform. Even so, not clear if the Grow Home will onwards status of 'exclusive', or may be switched to the console in the future. For now, you who are interested can wait its presence in the PC via Steam on 4 February 2015.
